Quiet Time
I desire to lead you by My still small voice (1 Kings 19:12), only that takes time. I so long for you to continually yield to Me and take more time fellowshipping with Me. Take more time to stay in My presence. Yes, you talk to Me a lot; you can hear My voice easily. That is good, but do you see how your mornings keep getting busy and how it cuts into your time to just be still (Psalm 46:10 ICB)?
Yes, you lead a busy life, but busy and stressed out are not really synonymous. You can live a busy life and yet stay in My grace and rest (Matthew 11:28-30). I will show you how. I will make a way for you (Isaiah 43:19). You will see it and marvel. You are already experiencing this life to a certain degree, but there is more. More of My anointing, more grace, more power, more love, more joy. Though there are trials and rough spots, you know Me better.
What about the time, you ask? Time. I created time and yet I am not subject to it.
Life is demanding and busy. You need more time(s) with Me in order to survive. Slow down long enough to feel feelings, to pray, to think, to read, to talk to others. First is time with Me (Matthew 6:33) and then time with others. Come to Me daily; listen to Me day by day for your instructions. Keep following after Me. You won’t believe where we will go. My promises (Psalm 91:4) to you are true.
1 Kings 19:12 AMPC
And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire [a sound of gentle stillness and] a still, small voice.
Psalm 46:10 ICB
God says, “Be still and know that I am God. I will be praised in all the nations. I will be praised throughout the earth.”
Matthew 11:28-30 AMPC
28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]
29 Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls.
30 For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good—not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne.
Isaiah 43:19 HCSB
Look, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.
Matthew 6:33 NCV
Seek first God’s kingdom and what God wants. Then all your other needs will be met as well.
Psalm 91:4 NLT
He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
