Just Three Words
Recently one morning, I awoke feeling very tired and not quite ready to face the day. Realizing if I didn’t get up on time, I would miss out on any quiet time and the dog, chickens and lamb would not understand why their breakfast was late. Discipline helped me out of bed to the den, my early morning space. As I just sat, praying and thinking about Jesus, I heard three words, “strength, song, salvation”. Not able to quote it, but remembering a verse with those words, I ended up finding three verses that morning in the Bible with those words: strength, song, salvation.
Exodus 15:2 AMPC
The Lord is my Strength and my Song, and He has become my Salvation; this is my God, and I will praise Him, my father’s God, and I will exalt Him.
Psalm 118:14 AMPC
The Lord is my Strength and Song; and He has become my Salvation.
Isaiah 12:2 HCSB
Indeed, God is my salvation; I will trust Him and not be afraid, for Yah, the Lord, is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation.
As I pondered these verses that morning, other verses came to mind such as, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13 NKJV), and “for the joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10). I was reminded of how I have woken up several times in the past couple of years with a new song playing in my mind, one I have never heard before. These songs have been a blessing and a source of peace and strength to me, which reminded me of yet another verse! “He has given me a new song to sing, of praises to our God” (Psalm 40:3 TLB). So many salvation verses are in the Bible; some of my favorites are in the Psalms pointing out God’s deliverance and rescue from harm and destruction.
How good and personal and intimate is our God! He knew just what to speak to me to renew me and bring me exactly what I needed! I found a new strength and energy within me to face my day and whatever challenges lay ahead. I pray that today you find new strength and a song of praise as you experience God’s salvation blessings spirit, soul, and body!
The following passages are some of the “words from God” about strength and salvation, and also words to a song He has given me. It’s a bit of a longer post, but I pray you will be blessed by it all.
Your strengthener
February 24, 2010
Don’t look at the circumstances. I will rob them of their power to harm you as you stand in faith. Do not shrink back in fear. Do not look down at the storm but look up to the Savior. I am your shield, your strength and your strengthener, your standby, your stronghold (2 Samuel 22:2). I am the one who upholds you by My strong right arm (Psalm 18:35). Do not let the wave of circumstances capsize your boat. Recognize who is in the ship with you.
Don’t be afraid of the storms and shrink away in fear. No. Press in and stand in the victory Jesus blood purchased for you. The power of the blood and the name of Jesus - heaven and the power of heaven backs that name as you exercise your faith in that wonderful and marvelous name. The storms will come. You’re on the earth, but you are not there as orphans or even there separated from your Father by a great distance. No. I AM is there with you. Don’t back off from the storm; face the storms. Speak to the storm (Matthew 21:21), and rejoice in Me; just rejoice in Me (Philippians 3:1). Don’t despair. I do not condemn you when you do. I know at times the storms hit you unaware. Just trust Me.
Know that I do have good in store for you (Jeremiah 29:11). My plans and purposes will be fulfilled, even in your life. Just stay close by so you can hear that still small voice. Take that time, that absolutely necessary time to feed your mind, your spirit, and to record your soul. You still don’t understand how intricately I have made you. Just trust Me. I designed you and I know how you operate best to thrive not just survive. OK?
I love you and I always will,
Your Father,
God
PS: Tell people I love each one of them so intensely, and I long to work with each one of them. Tell them I love them and I care about every detail of their lives, especially the broken and wounded places. Look to Jesus as your supreme example to follow. There truly is a cloud of witnesses cheering all of you forward (Hebrews 12:1,2). Let My kingdom come into your lives.
2 Samuel 22:2 GW
my God, my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield, the strength of my salvation, my stronghold, my refuge, and my Savior who saved me from violence.
Psalm 18:35 GW
You have given me the shield of your salvation. Your right hand supports me. Your gentleness makes me great.
Matthew 21:21 TPT
Jesus replied, “Listen to the truth. If you do not doubt God’s power and speak out of faith’s fullness, you can also speak to a tree and it will wither away. Even more than that, you could say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and be thrown into the sea’ and it will be done.
Philippians 3:1 NLT
Whatever happens, my dear brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord.
Jeremiah 29:11 TLB
For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Hebrews 12:1,2 NLT
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith
I Will Help You
April 18, 2010
Rosanne, trust Me. You can’t clearly see the future but you can trust Me. Continue to live a life that is pleasing to Me (Colossians 1:10). I will help you. It’s never in your own strength. There is a strength that comes from Me (Colossians 1:11) – a strength to do what is right in the hard times, a strength to believe in the times where you can’t “see” clearly. I am changing you. Find a way to see My hand in every situation in your life, then glorify Me.
Colossians 1:10 AMP
So that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord [displaying admirable character, moral courage, and personal integrity], to [fully] please Him in all things, bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing in the knowledge of God [with deeper faith, clearer insight and fervent love for His precepts]
Colossians 1:11 MSG
We pray that you’ll have the strength to stick it out over the long haul—not the grim strength of gritting your teeth but the glory-strength God gives. It is strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into joy, thanking the Father who makes us strong enough to take part in everything bright and beautiful that he has for us.
Just Come to Me
August 18, 2020
This is the words to one of the songs I have awoken to. I heard it, not audibly, but in my mind, being sweetly sung to me.
Just come to Me, come and receive My great love for you.
My love will change your heart, hope will arise, you will believe My words to you.
Just come to Me, come let Me share My peace with you.
My peace will change your heart, you will find rest and joy that gives you strength.
Just come to Me, with every fear, I will protect and care for you.
My blessings will surround you as a shield, your heart will trust in Me.
Salvation Blessings
May 22, 1994
Jesus is standing here. He is holding out salvation to you. But I’m already born again you say. Why is He holding out salvation to Me? Because you have not received all that salvation involves. You have not appropriated all that Jesus died to give you:
salvation (Romans 10:9-11),
healing (Mathew 9:35),
wholeness, soundness, deliverance (Luke 4:18),
freedom from the curse (Galatians 3:13,14),
freedom to be a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17) full of the life and light and love of the Father,
reflecting the image of a child of the Father God (2 Corinthians 3:18), and
fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14).
Fellowship with the Holy Spirit is one of the greatest blessings that Jesus’ blood provided for life on earth and yet so few get to know Him and spend time with Him. Don’t marvel at those who hear His voice so well. He longs to have that same sweet, intimate communion with each one who knows Jesus (John 10:27). His goal is always to bring Jesus and the Father glory. What better way to bring them glory than to transform the children of God to reflect the image of Jesus, to see Jesus in multitudes of people delivered from the power of darkness to the kingdom of light (1 Peter 2:9b), to see lives radically altered, to see the qualities that at one time could only be for a select group of people available for all those who would choose salvation.
Be open to all that salvation involves. It is so much more than rebirth. Rebirth is vital, but it’s only meant to be the beginning. Don’t stay infants unskilled in spiritual truths. Arm yourselves. Get into your prayer closet. Spend time there. Let the Holy Spirit reveal who He is and who God wants you to be. Let go of what He says to and take on what He says to (Ephesians 4:22-24). You’ll not believe the changes in your life. There is no greater blessing on earth than life in the Spirit, walking in fellowship and obedience to the Spirit of God. Jump in and let go.
Romans 10:9-11 TPT
And what is God’s “living message”? It is the revelation of faith for salvation, which is the message that we preach. For if you publicly declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will experience salvation. The heart that believes in him receives the gift of the righteousness of God—and then the mouth confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scriptures encourage us with these words: “Everyone who believes in him will never be disappointed.”
Matthew 9:35 TPT
Jesus walked throughout the region with the joyful message of God’s kingdom realm. He taught in their meeting houses, and wherever he went he demonstrated God’s power by healing every kind of disease and illness.
Luke 4:18 BRG
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Galatians 3:13,14 GWT
Christ paid the price to free us from the curse that the laws in Moses’ Teachings bring by becoming cursed instead of us. Scripture says, “Everyone who is hung on a tree is cursed.” Christ paid the price, so that the blessing promised to Abraham would come to all the people of the world through Jesus Christ and we would receive the promised Spirit through faith.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Phillips
For if a man is in Christ, he becomes a new person altogether—the past is finished and gone, everything has become fresh and new.
John 10:27 Voice
My sheep respond as they hear My voice; I know them intimately, and they follow Me.
1 Peter 2:9b Phillips
It is for you now to demonstrate the goodness of him who has called you out of darkness into his amazing light.
2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT
So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.
2 Corinthians 13:14 Voice
May the grace of the Lord Jesus the Anointed, the love of God the Father, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit remain with you all.
